At Storm Ready Windshields, our services are designed around visibility, safety, and consistent results, especially in real Canadian driving conditions. The policies below help set clear expectations and ensure every vehicle is serviced to the same high standard.

1. Safety and Visibility Standard

All services are performed with driver visibility and safety as the primary standard. If environmental or vehicle conditions prevent a clear, streak free result, services may be adjusted to maintain safe outcomes.

Our goal is not speed. It is clarity you can rely on in real world driving conditions.

2. Weather and Temperature Policy (Winter Service)

Cold weather can significantly affect glass behavior, especially in Ottawa’s humid winter conditions.

Interior windshield cleaning is not performed outdoors when ambient temperatures are below −5 °C, unless the vehicle can be safely warmed in a heated space. Below this temperature, cold glass combined with warm cabin air can cause fogging or streaking that may reduce visibility, particularly at night or in direct sunlight.

Exterior windshield treatment and wiper replacement are not affected by this temperature guideline and will proceed as scheduled when conditions allow.

3. Service Area and Access Requirements

To perform services safely and effectively, the following conditions are required:

• A safe and accessible parking space

• Adequate room to access the windshield and wiper arms

• No active precipitation that would compromise results

• Stable footing free of ice hazards

If conditions on site are unsafe or unsuitable, adjustments may be required.

4. Service Adjustments and Communication

If part of a service cannot be completed due to weather, temperature, or site conditions:

• We will communicate clearly on site

• The remaining portions of the service will be completed as scheduled

• Any deferred work will be addressed when conditions allow proper results

Our focus is always on doing the work correctly, not forcing completion under poor conditions.

5. Professional Standards

We use vehicle appropriate wiper blades, winter rated washer fluid, and proven application methods to ensure dependable performance. Every vehicle is treated as if visibility and safety directly affect the next drive, because they do.
